Junior Church/Youth Department

Junior Church during Sunday Service

Every sunday, there is a junior church program for children ages kindergarten through 5th grade. Junior church occurs simultaneously with the main sanctuary service from 10:00 to 11:45, and has its own sanctuary room on the second floor. This ministry is curriculum based and includes singing and bible teaching, and the newly constructed stage utilizes puppets, media, and other creative presentation of the Gospel for children. Once a month (typically the second Sunday), we have Family Sunday at Agape. On these Sundays, junior church begins after the praise and worship, prayer, and announcements in the main sanctuary, then children are dismissed to junior church. On Family Sundays, there is a Fellowship Meal after the service and everyone is invited to stay for lunch.

Nursery/”ARK” Preschool during Sunday Service

Agape has a nursery for infant age and toddlers and a separate preschool room (known as the ark) is for the preschool age children. These are both staffed by scheduled church volunteers.

Youth Department

Agape has traditionally maintained a strong youth program and has the facilities for it. Currently, the families in our congregation generally have elementary school age children or grown children. At this time, there is no specific youth program for junior high/ high school age. We plan to re-establish a youth program at Agape, as many of the children in our congregation will be junior high age in the near future. Also, as the church grows, a youth department is very important and we consider it a near-future aspect of our church.
