Small Groups / Activities

We meet together for various activities, some of which have a greater emphasis on fellowship in the context of common interests and hobbies. There are also small groups that meet to study the Bible together, pray, or experience media based study materials from the Christian arena that are available. Joining up with a group is easy to do, because they welcome people and also because they start and complete new activities all the time.

Sports

In the fall and winter months, we play 1/2 court basketball at the church; a 3 on 3 league begins in Janurary. In the spring and summer months, we have a softball team that plays in the Muncie church league.

Bible Study Groups

There are a few different groups that meet once a week going through the books of the bible one at a time. Those in these groups agree to read the Word ahead of time, and then meet to share. Some groups have more of an intentional “group effort” and other groups have a more appointed leader who does some teaching and posing of questions to foster discussion.

Prayer Groups

Prayer at some point is a part of any of the small groups, and there are also groups of people that meet specifically to dedicate more time and attention to prayer, and praying together.

Media Study/ Discussion

There are those high platform authors and speakers who God uses in a big way, and we try to experience those as a church by appointing times to view and discuss them and/or make them available. Currently, we are engaging the RightNow Campaign's latest message; this ministry brings several anoited church leaders together to encourage the church in being productive for the Kingdom. We have times over the next 6 weeks set aside to view and discuss the material. Wednesdays 6:30 pm & Sunday 9:00 am
